The graphics chip is a nVidia Corporation NV18 [GeForce4 MX 4000].
I doubt this chip has the required features to run Unity. The graphics

I'm updating this as confirmed as I am experiencing the exact same
issues with my BlackBerry Curve 8900. The m3u playlists created on the
BlackBerry have absolute paths - therefore Rythmbox and Banshee should
export playlists in the same fashion.

I'll give this a try! However, I've been running Maverick since October
and had the first crash five minutes after following Needlez6's
instructions, so I'm almost certain that this is a result of the
patching process. I'll post back early this week! Thanks for the

KDE development platform 4.5.1. Looking in synaptic, I have the
0.9.90-1 package installed.
When I pull both the original .wav and the resultant .mp3 into Audacity,
these look like nearly identical files. These sermon files
I should add that neither the audio jacks on the back of my computer or
the headphone jack work, but HDMI audio does work.

I'm using ubuntu 10.10 with latest updates on Toshiba X505-Q887 laptop.
The problem is that I can't get headphones and internal mic work at the same
time.
By default headphones work, but mic does not.
If I put 'options snd-hda-intel model=laptop position_fix=1 enable=yes' i
associating with package awn-extras-applets.
Can you add the output of

I can say this does happen - just did on the Desktop login, (and in retrospect
once with the 0ubuntu4 compiz version), but doesn't occur most of the time.
Cannot see any way yet to make it happen at will and a logout/login always
'fixes' - based on what was seen here and some reports from others

Checking out the driver sources (rev. 890 now) and rebuilding makes
resolution detection work still, but switching to text screens does not
work.
Reinstalling the openchrome driver from the repository makes text
screens work, but the resolution fix isn't in that driver, so xorg.conf
is necessary.

I have exactly the same problem. The same laptop, the same kernel and
alsa driver version. I fixed it only when I reinstall kernel. But even
after that I'm getting some errors during every updates installation.
