the PPD file Canon iP4300 Ver.2.70. This PPD file is not part of the

Offhand, it sounds like a window manager failure in showing the window
decorations, but a screen image would tell for sure.

The blacklist rule didn't help for me. With 2.6.35-22 or 2.6.35-23, I
still have yet to succeed at uploading the firmware through gobi_loader.
The only way for me to use my Verizon connection is to boot into
Windows, connect, then reboot back into Linux, at which point the

creatin g a new project and adding a VOB file made by my self. I'
clicked on Burn... and maintained the default suggestions. Instead of

The above script was slightly different to the one I have but I copied it and
made the mods as above. The errors in syslog have gone but I'm no further
forward. The OpenVPN connects, as before, but no data throughput.
Presumably the fix will come in the regular updates??

I've been using Ubuntu since version 5.04 and this installer in 10.10 is
the worst I've ever seen from a usability perspective. I'm an advanced
user and only use the manual partitioning tools so I had to test this
for myself. The options and the layout are confusing and the propensity

When I booted up this morning, my I had lost my gnome windows manager.
While working to restore the windows manager I learned that gdm was
missing so I used the synaptic package manager to restore this and found
this error message.

I uninstalled the compiled kernel 2.6.36.2
and 'I installed the official ubuntu kernel 2.6.35-24
but always with the same result

This appears to have been corrected as of kernel 2.6.35-23-generic with
acpid 1.0.10-5ubuntu4 (or perhaps before, I have not been using ubuntu
on this laptop becuase of this, and the intel mobile video brightness
