I am also affected by this issue, my Sony MW-600 headset does not appear
in the Input section of Sound Settings while in A2DP mode. I know the
device supports this and I'm sure it has worked on previous versions of
Ubuntu.

I am not amused.
Anyway I am not in the position to check because I currently do not have a data
plan. But as soon as I get one or get a sim in my hands that has one I will
check it. I wouldn't be surprised if it still is like that since i checked
