The content of comment #10 from 2009-12-29 is obsolete. It works
flawlessly right now. Also the distribution and package are EOL. I do

saucy, and it worked, that would prove the fix was correct.

I installed 12.04 with a live usb stick.

When I brick my system in 2012 I had a working linux OS
in the SSD. And when mother board was swap out for a new
one i lost it. The SSD is built into the mother board.

"Affect:" toolbar label should
It is now four years later. I recently discovered Inkscape, and have
begun using it to edit SVG images. And this afternoon I was finally so
annoyed by the "Affect" label that I reported it as a bug in need of
fixing. I was soon notified that I was reporting a duplicate of this
error, Bug #590686

I ran into this bug when upgrading from 12.10 to 13.04 on my HP 6735b
Using the nomodeset as kernel argument works around the problem with the
effect that it is incorrect screen resololution detected and configured.

Hi,
I ran the command. But of course with the older kernel which is OK. I
can't run apport-collect with the troublesome kernel, since I don't get
further as the login screen.
