The solution mentioned above doesn't work in Ubuntu 13.10 due to the bug in
keymap code (fixed in upstream).
Also you can check if you remapped all of buttons using evtest. You need to

Just an update as I did some testing on concated cache timings, on a
kernel that supports multiple profile loads
so for 100 iterations of profile loading I got
2.8.95 parser, profile set from cache: 0m22.961s

I upgraded Xubuntu from 12.04 LTS to 14.04 LTS and I removed
xscreensaver based on the post-upgrade recommendation.
However, what I found was that the screen blanked while parole was
playing a video. Here is what is happening:
Parole executes xdg-screensaver to inhibit the screen saver while vid
I can confirm comment #29. I'm on Trusty with a german keyboard layout
(qwertz). After login all is ok. But sometime later the layout suddenly
switches to some englisch layout (qwerty). The indicator still is
showing german. Manual switching to US and then back to DE restores the
german layout.

I have a clean install of 14.04 on an i7-860 with 16GB RAM.
I'm using NFS to share a home directory. The volume is ~2TB, formatted
JFS, and it has a single client.
I recently noticed that I had a [kworker] process using 100% CPU:
PID USER PR NIVIRTRESSH
I have display problems with a Dell Vostro 1000 (2.4.1 BIOS, similar
hardware to Inspiron 1501) on Lubuntu 14.04. Vertical lines on boot,
whether with LiveCD (USB stick) or installed on hard drive. No
herringbones or purple screens.
Observations:
1. Nomodeset works (albeit stuck in 1024 x 768) b

On a fresh trusty install I ran 'apt-get install maas-cluster-
controller' the install failed when restarting apache complaining about
missing the module crochet.
installing the package python-crochet prior to maas-cluster-controller
clears it up.
