and Apple). PPA's are sometimes unavoidable if you want to use software
not in the repos.
The solution to the issue is for programs to move to gstreamer1.0.
Firefox 30 now supports gstreamer1.0 and phonon/KDE does as well.

13.04 is now EOL. I see the following commit has been cc'd to upstream
stable:
mc/nv50-: fix kms pageflip events by reordering irq handling order.
The fix will make it's way into trusty through the normal stable update
process.

starting rc-sysinit". In theory, this should get run before lightdm, and
before the legacy init scripts.
