I'm not sure if it is related, but I also experience columns of
horizontal lines on my displays. They generally disappear as a window is
dragged over them.

Drivers break hardware
Public bug reported:
Chrome, Chromium, Slack, Zoom, and VS Code all exhibit extreme
flickering, ghosting, screen tearing, and general artifacting while
hardware acceleration is enabled. Disabling hardware accelerations in
those applications resolved this issue.
