I have the exact same problem. Also when using ssh from the terminal it
seems to take 5-10 seconds to prompt for a password which never happened
in edgy or dapper. I don't know if the two issues are related, but I
thought the extra info could be useful.

I am having this problem also, and GSSAPIAuthentication no didn't help
at all. I have version 4.3p2-8ubuntu1.
Here is what I got, it hangs on debug2: we sent a keyboard-interactive
packet, wait for reply for about 10 seconds.
ssh -vvv [EMAIL PROTECTED]
OpenSSH_4.3p2 Debian-8ubuntu1, OpenSSL
I agree, this should be changed before final release.

I opened nautilus, use the location bar (ctrl-L) and type in
smb://[EMAIL PROTECTED] Then I am prompted for a password. I type in the
password and check the box to save the password in the gnome-keyring.
Everytime I go to smb://[EMAIL PROTECTED] after that I am prompted for a
