It is very important that peazip is included in universe as it supports
256 AES zips whereas file-roller does not. I would really like to see
it in universe.

File-roller should open these files, hence it is a file-roller problem
in my opinion. File-roller is a frontend to these various other
utilities so I do not see why it can't be changed to use 7z instead of
unzip, seeing as it uses 7z anyway for 7z files. This would solve the

Winzip and many other zip programs can now produce zip files that are
protected by 256 AES encryption. FIle-roller in ubuntu cannot handle
these zips. The files within the zips are shown fine but when you try
and extract the following error

I am having the same problem with my Dell optiplex GX620. The weird
thing is that it does not happen everytime. Cannot find the relevant
log, but is says:

Uninstalling compiz-extra fixes this problem, so that is where it appears the
bug may be hidden, within one of the plugins in the extra package.

while using gnome-compiz-manager to update plugins, changed setting from
cube / rotation to plane, compiz crashes.
I can start compiz as another user so this may be related to a plugin,
rather then compiz core.
