I have a similar problem using the newest version of intrepid (beta). I'm using a dell e1505, and it always hangs on the message, iwl3945: Tunable channels: 11 802.11bg, 13 802.11a channels Similarly it only occurs about 50% of the time, and if I'm using the usplash it's about 2 and 1/4 bars in.
