Same here. Asus A6000 laptop (chipset is C51MV(C61)+MCP51 (NVidia) - got
that from
http://www.computerstock.be/index.html?lang=nltarget=d203.htmllmd=39945.914456
but it was really hard to find specs for this laptop... It has a 3200+
AMD processor and a GeForce 6100 GPU, in any case).

Seems to be fixed by the acpi_enforce_resources=lax option.

I have an Asus A6000 notebook.
I have to turn the sound up to 100% on everything and it's still very
low. Have to turn the speaker volume up far beyond what is usually

This one is immensely annoying. I had the same journey as n8gray...
Anyway, I'll try to refrain from whining.
Is this one moving at all? didier said he would commit the boilerplate,
has anything happened since then?

netatalk not built with encrypted auth support
Hmm. netatalk runs on my box - only, it shows localhost to the
clients, and then Finder on OS X thinks every server is the same
computer.
Fixed it by changing /bin/hostname --short to /bin/hostname, though.
Is there a reason this hasn't been made the default behavior yet?

Netatalk fails to
I have this one too. Had security = share before the upgrade, so I could
share with Windows boxes. Now it's not able to connect because of
authentication, same as you.
