Worked around by stopping the sendmail service (service sendmail stop),
then running apt install -f.

Title:
package sendmail-bin 8.15.2-13
Fast forward to End of October 2018 and this is STILL an issue.
This is really a 20 minute job so it is simply inconceivable that Ubuntu
would stoop so low. This is A HIGHLY USED APPLICATION! Don't you forget
that 18.04 is an LTS, that is supposedly more stable. It is simply
DISGUSTING what
In custom mode, it should have shown a warning about not having an efi
partition.

Well, the real problem is the fact that instead of warning me
beforehand, it blows up in my face at the very end.

Normally I would agree with you, but there is also the fact that they
actually told you to do this on their website. I actually did this long
ago (relatively) and didn't know the repercussions. Isn't it possible to
remove any existing diversion during upgrade?

The fix does work, but it would be great to actually implement in the
package.

This is great and all, but it would be nice for the package to actually
fix this...

package ack-grep 2.12-1 failed to install/upgrade:
Same thing happens to me on pretty much all the screens. On the
Installation type I had to go back then forward. On the time zone
selection screen I had to select first a different time zone then change
it back to my timezone, but even then the button did become enabled, but
it said Connect
Also, I want to add that I had this bug only on 12.10 and 13.04, but
12.04 doesn't have this problem.
