I was able to fix this issue in my laptop (HP Pavilion N204TX) using the
patch provided (linux-
image-4.15.0-041500rc6-generic_4.15.0-041500rc6.201712312330+20170103+1_amd64.deb).
The issue appeared in my laptop once I upgraded to Ubuntu 18.04.

I started experiencing this error recently. In my HP pavilion laptop,
Ubuntu freezes all of a sudden and becomes unusable that I need to
restart the machine. I could see the below errors in syslog that are

2. unable to install proprietary drivers for ati radeon graphics. it displays
I can confirm the yelp performance issue. The processor was on full
blast - once yelp was terminated, the system is much quieter now.

I was trying to install one .deb package which required an additional
package to be downloaded.The pwd was entered and the down load was about
to be started.At that instant Debi package installer closed
unexpectedly.

This bug affects me also. BTW, I do *not* get a hang when I install Linux Mint
Isadora, which is supposed to be similar to Lucid.
The strange aspect of this bug is that in almost 20% of reboots, it does not
hang...
Also noticed that if I power off the computer and then boot, the chances of
1 - 100 of 174 matches
