Christopher, I can't report the bug because I have another keyboard
unless the USB keyboard.
I solved the problem by installing the same version of the kernel
directly from KernelMainlineBuilds.
What I can do is attach the same files attached to Thomas, but with the
upstream kernel, which is work
I'm using kubuntu precise pangolin and I'm using kernel v3.5-quantal
from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds without issues.

I had the same issue using ppa: upubuntu-com/kernel-amd64
Using the latest upstream kernel, and installing the package "extras",
my usb keyboard and mouse works normally.
