Moving to Invalid. There is no problem with Ubuntu drivers/kernel and
the Advanced-N 6235 chip. This was the chip for the bug report of the
OP. If anyone has similar trouble with a different chip, they should
open a NEW bug report specifically for that chip.

problem SOLVED:
I had exactly the same issue as described in this bug, with a 6235 wireless
chip in my laptop.
After a while, I became increasingly suspicious
Just an update on this bug. Since having these problems I purchased a
new 6235 wireless chipset, and have had no problems since. So it was in
fact a faulty chipset, and not a software fault.

Can I make a comment on my experience with the Centrino 6235 chip - as
commented earlier, I went back to Windows 7 for a day today, and sure enough
the issue of wireless cutting out was present under Windows as well.
So it seems my issue has in fact been hardware, not
