I agree I can't seem to pin this bug down. No error's or tell tail
signs. One train of thought did point to the network manager and
wireless. I'm connected by a wired LAN, and something is telling me to
disable the wireless interface and see if that's whats causing issues.

Pretty frequently I'm getting network lock ups. The system will stop
