If you're using compiz from git or with the 'fixed' compiz package you
won't see this in the screensaver so you cannot say for sure the new
driver fixes this problem. You need to have two users setup, switch from
one to the other, and somehow trigger a window to show up on the first
user's desktop
That is a generic "X has the wrong DPI" and "applications don't get DPI
from gnome-settings-daemon" thing. The first should be fixed, the second
is not a bug because only GTK+ apps will do that.
This bug is specific to gtk-window-decorator not listening to gnome-
settings-daemon which is a bug bec

The real bug is ccsm won't read from the mo file, compiz adding the
translations to xml files on compile time is not going to happen.

In that case I'd say it's a driver bug. It either really doesn't support
larger than 2048x2048 or does but is reporting that's all it supports.
That's what compiz is checking on the bit that fails, what the graphics
card claims the limit is versus your current resolution.

Ok, I'm not sure why you see brown and the other bug has white but I'm
99% sure they are the same bug. In either case, they are both not compiz
problems but mesa problems.
