[Bug 147437] Terminal app constantly wobbles when maximized

Public bug reported: This is with System-Appearance-Visual Effects-Extra set, so that wobbling windows takes place. After a clean boot, opening, maximizing and closing a few applications for a short while and/or opening, maximizing and closing Terminal a few times, *ALWAYS* leads to the Terminal

I have the same motherboard model -- Asus P5B-VM. I have applied the latest BIOS (BIOS 0901 downloadable from Asus). Indeed, if suspend has been done once, reboot does not finish any more. But shutdown seems to work (however, I think I saw it hang once, but I am not sure). Attached is the output
