I've recently installed Ubuntu 13.10 Beta and noticed that QtCreator
seems to be missing the debugging helpers library. This makes it
impossible to view contents of e.g. the C++ STL containers in the
QtCreator debugger.
I tried to install the
Same thing happens on my EEE-Pc R252B (which has essentially the exact
same hardware and uses the same bios)

[Asus eeepc 1225B] Keyboard
I was now able to solve the problem with a script I found on askubuntu
and the kernel bugzilla. So at least the r252b can be made working
completely.
In order to fix the suspend problem:
do the steps described here:
Exactly the same happens on my EEE PC R252b.
When trying to suspend to Ram, everything is prepared correctly, but the CPU
Fan stays on.
When swithcing the device off by long-pressing the power button, it goes off.
When turning it on again, it starts at the same state as it stopped before (not
(Addition to post above: The EEE-PC also refuses to shut down completely
but reboots instead, which also indicates a buggy ACPI implementation in
the BIOS.)

For the record:
I've submitted this bug upstream with another eee pc (r252b) which is also
affected, but seems to be equal to your 1225B (same Mainboard).

For me, it always existed.
However, my device came to market like 1-2 months ago, so I was not doing much
testing.
For me, it exists from 3.2 up to 3.4 and that's all I tested.

Hello,
I thought this bug would be well known, but it seems not to be.
When I try to boot precise (happens with the installer, too) with my GTX
570, it fails because of nouveau.
The Nouveau version shipped with precise seems to be too old to handle the
fermi chip correctly
Same problem exists on my Asus eeePC 1005HA.
Also, the Volume control hotkeys stopped working with this kernel version. Is
this related to this bug or should I file a new one?

This problem (buggy firmware) still exists in Oneiric today.
Is there any way that this is fixed sooner or later?

Seems to work better indeed.
I could not test it with the same setup, but was able to transfer a few
gigabytes of files over the network (but with fixed IP. could not test DHCP).
I think this commit could be the cause of the improvement (but I'm not sure.

Still nothing changed with the new kernel 3.0.0-12.20.
Manually installing the realtek-driver from realtek.com helps. But the driver
has to be patched in order to work with kernel 3.0.

I can confirm this bug with the following kernel version:
linux-image-3.0.0-12-generic
However, I'm pretty sure that this is not only kernel related (firmware?).
I've been using the oneiric kernels on Natty for a while now and networking
worked much better (not perfect, but better).
However, with
