apologies. workaround was to logoff and logon again, till this mornings apt-get

Now is my workaround to restart lightgdm. logoff and login is not sufficient

bugfixes also with 10.10
The fix for 10.04 is working as well. I can't remember mounting problems
with any 9 version.
If the fix is usefull for 9.x indeed,better to ask martin.
