ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04
Package: ubiquity 2.18.7
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-24.46-generic 3.13.9

ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3
Architecture: i386
CasperVersion: 1.340

My problem is solved. It seems the /etc/lirc/lircd.conf was reset and I
had not restored it. A bit of a nuisance, though, that the lircd.conf
file is over written when updating the system.

I tried linux-
image-3.15.0-031500rc2-generic_3.15.0-031500rc2.201404201435_amd64 from
the link/description above
I'm not sure if I did it right
System is booting up, but with this Kernel there is NO WiFi/WLAN and NO
Bluetooth-Indicator in Status bar.
So I can't really test the Bluetooth-Issue.
And I do agree, too. It's not a bug, but imho it's a regression.
I did love pcmanfm just for these two features, to the open folder as root and
open a terminal in the folder you're in, simply from the tools menu. One of
these features is gone. Please bring it back.
Thanks
btw: the tip in the old link above
"changing sata-mode from ahci to compability in bios did the trick then,
maybe this helps"
does not work for me!

I have the same problem after upgrading to 14.04; the remote just
stopped working. Everything seems to load correctly, but there is no

Workaround:
manually adding @nm-applet to
~/.config/lxsession/Lubuntu/autostart
worked for me.

In the Systems menu, I was told there is new software. I decided to accept and
