It's not only there, same on /latest_ideas/ which is also accessible as
/latest_ideas and links to /2 then.
Would be enough as a first quick patch to add Rewrite Rule /(.*[^/])
/$1/ [R] to the apache conf.

which is 404.
You should make absolute links or, better, redirect to the path with a trailing
slash (one path – one content)
