FYI: The screenshot attached originally doesn't show the bug because due

Unfortunately, I don't have reliable repro steps for this bug it was
just a bug that appeared out of the blue and then apport submitted it.
For this reason, I will not reopen this bug.
Anyway, I'm fairly sure it was related to a conflict between totem and
some other app with respect to pulseaudio.
I ran into this problem with the 1.0+dfsg-1ubuntu1 version of the
monodevelop package (this is the one that ships with Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy).

Ah, there was in fact some information related to the crash in the

the third time I found it completely hung with no mouse cursor, no
response and a single frozen image from the screen saver is visible (I
use the screensaver called "busy spheres" and I think it uses open

When I tried this image in 2.22.1 it said this particular .TIF type

Seeing how important microphones are today for skype and other audio
conferencing apps I think one of the high priority work items should be
to get a wizard page included into hwtest that asks if the microphone is
working or not.

I'm also seeing this, on a HP DV6000 laptop. lshw hangs both from hwtest
and from terminal. I tried to install the fixed .deb but gdebi said
"later version already installed and there was no 'override' button" so
I don't know how to install it :-/
