I have the same problem. I tried reinstalling the network-manager
package but nothing changed. At last, just did sudo apt-get --purge
autoremove network-manager and everything is ok now :)

Got the same problem here. The "Dial up Connections > Connect to dsl-
provider via Modem..." and the "Dial up Connections > Disconnect from
dsl-provider via Modem..." options doesn't work.
