Enabling
Upgrading libgl1-mesa-dri and libgl1-mesa-glx to version 6.5.2-3ubuntu8
solved the problem (this of course, upgraded a whole bunch of dependent
packages as well). libglu1-mesa and mesa-utils however remains to
version 6.5.2-3ubuntu7..

I've made it a bit easier
If you add
deb http://people.ubuntu.com/~kyle/crestline-mesa/ ./
to your /etc/apt/sources.list, you should be able to directly upgrade to
it.
