Status
The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.

1) If you are comfortable

from within Windows Device Manager,
properities of Network Interface,
enable "Wake on LAN"
Windows now doesn't disable network interface when it shuts down.

These are all made while my ethernet interface has been disabled, as witnessed
by the linkbeat indicator on my switch being OFF.
These attachments are sent on the same machine after booting into XP, using the
reset switch to exit XP and booting back into Ubuntu.
