Correct. I need to study a little bit the GPG documentation.
In any case I'd say that the GUI can be misleading.

That is the keyring. If you expand it you will notice that the actual
key is 4096, or you can run gpg -K in a terminal, which will most likely
create an output like the one I pasted.
