Thanks for the clarification, just asked because of a doubt as you called backtrace full after it said "Program terminated with signal SIGKILL, Killed. The program no longer exists." This might be a reason for you not to get a backtrace. Can you provide the xsession-errors at least? -- (gusty) rh

Do you have anything on ~/.xsession-errors after the rhythmbox stops responding? Can you attach the .xsession-errors file taken immediately after your program has stopped responding and you try to close it by pressing Ctrl-C? Also, please specify the version of Ubuntu and version of the package yo
