I have adjusted the test plan to say to diffoscope them, and run another
diffoscope vs the software-properties-qt 0.99.48.1 and the packages are
still the same, timestamps, versions and the obvious /usr/share/doc
deduplication difference aside (as expected), so I am marking this as
verified.

Actually, no need to actually release, since it's identical to the
special binary package, right? So I can just accept the next SRU for
this package into noble-proposed and treat this bug as completed. When
that SRU lands, this no-binary-change one will, too.

OK I'm releasing this on the basis of Julian's justification above.

I guess we can still install it and see that it works correctly but it
essentially amounts to double verification given it's the same code. And
I'd rather do that as part of the 0.99.49.1 when we actually need to
check that source code handling is correct anyhow.

Do we really have a test plan for it? The original test plan no longer
applies, and the code is exactly the same as we have in software-
properties 0.99.48 + software-properties-qt 0.99.48.1 once-off. We don't
have the original 0.99.48 to reproduce the bad case anymore...
Maybe we should just diff
Note that regardless of the autopkgtest status this is not releasable as
it is has not been verified. Please could someone perform the test plan
and report the results as requested above?

@mfo The only autopkgtest regressions the bot mentioned and that are
visible still, are the ones I flagged earlier (albeit I don't know to
whom). That's software-properties-qt/unknown failing which is to be
expected - software-properties-qt got reabsorbed into this source
package so it cannot run i
This SRU is pending verification for noble-proposed and autopkgtests
regressions to be cleared up.
I looked the autopkgtests regressions, and some seem to be temporary
conditions on the infrastructure, thus I just triggered retries for all
tests/archs.

Hello Leó, or anyone else affected,
Accepted software-properties into noble-proposed. The package will build

Please help us by testing this new package.

I do not think the GTK version is fixed.
I am seeing the issue as seen in the screenshot.
Tell me to open a new bug if needed.

Yeah sorry folks this was a bit awkward, to avoid respinning other
images we temporarily spun out software-properties-qt into its own
package (0.99.48.1) and fixed it there, and hence there was no bug
closure or anything. This will fold back into the main package in a
zero-day SRU in 0.99.49.
