I have the same problem.
In my computer, there is one IDE disk and one SATA disk.
On Feisty, they were identified as hda (hd0 in GRUB - IDE) and sda (hd1 in GRUB
- SATA).
But Hardy identifies them as sdb (hd0 in GRUB - IDE) and sda (hd1 in GRUB -
SATA).
Also for me the GRUB identifies them corr
In Kubuntu Hardy Heron my IDE drives were identified as Sata drives in
Gparted.
So instead of getting Hda, Hdb, Sda and Sdb, I got Sda, Sdb, Sdc and
Sdd. The IDE drives were the Sdc and Sdd.
As in installed on the first IDE drive, the information passed over to
Grub was that I'd installed on driv
