I have installed flock browser (www.flock.com) via a tarball. It is
mozilla based, and it does exactly the same thing as FF.
One thing I must note though is that FF does not freeze in my case, I
can use it, but it does not connect to any web pages.
Googling extensively and scouring launchpad,
I have the same problem.
In the bottom status bar it will say connecting to... and hang there for
a long time. I have checked and there is nothing going out through the
network interface. FF error panel lists nothing out of the ordinary.
I have installed konqueror and run the two concurrently
It happened again, and I ran top.
It seems that FF goes into sleep between browsing input.
Whenever this hang occurs it seems that FF does not recover out of sleep
mode.
