I used the Synaptic Package Manager to mark python-setuptools for
removal, apply, mark it for installation, and apply. The installation
worked without error.
I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 with python-setuptools 0.6c9-0ubuntu1.

Well I had to remove it by hand "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-package"
and reinstall it works now
