A fix can be found on my PPA and on debian/mentors.
Until now nobody uploaded it to Debian or Ubuntu.

I meant /usr/share/applications/luma.desktop and not a icon on the users
desktop!

Personally I don't like desktop file. I like Ubuntu philosophy of having
desktop clean. You can however add an icon on the gnome bar taking it
from the app menu.
