It's been several months, and clearly someone has been able to to build
the package since we've gotten updated versions in the backports repo
[1]. Could someone please confirm that the issue still exists in the
2.1 (or later) series?

I could compile it fine, using the default answer ([n]) just pushing
enter at each question, this might make the power-pc mysql bug appear
again.
The bugging patch is /debian/patches-
amarok/03_mysqle_link_to_amarok_executable.diff and Patch (the program)
thinks this is a reversed patch.

I can confirm this problem. Tried to build it in my freshly updated
pbulider environment and it fails with same error.
