Luca, *if you want* to use the patch for ubuntu's c9.1, this is the exact patch
that is in c10 and it's the one to take:

And italian translation to take is in this commit (Will have 1 string

I have no idea if it has anything to do with this bug. I think this is
solved now, since the patch to not make it crash on bad data is in. But
the question why it suddenly quits was not solved. I don't use the
ubuntu package so I don't really know if anything special happens.

If that would help, I've absolutely no problems to move from dbus
service to a call to the Python script.
