since you reported this bug?
If it is the case, please try to replace the "reload" command at the end
of /etc/init.d/rsyslog with '/sbin/reload', and let us know if it
corrects the issue. You would want to be sure that /
Ignore me.
The problem was a version of reload in /usr/local/sbin which I wrote
before the introduction of upstart.

For me this is a critical bug as it takes my machine down every day.
Some time after booting my machine every morning it is consumed by a
recursive explosion of reload and rsysklogd tasks.
The attached file shows the first 300 tasks as reported by 'ps auxf'. I
snaffled this as soon as possible bu
