I have a *loy* of problems with samba printers.
I hope'd this was the fix, but unfortunately I have no "samba" user in
/etc/passwd. It is supposed to exists?
I have a dapper drake standard samba installation.
My problem is that cupsaddsmb fails (and start looping over itself) with
an error on r
At least you can have remote printing enabled by
mkdir /var/spool/samba and chmodded it 1777.
Puzzled.

possible, actually. Sorry :)

seems to be coming from the debian package: I've seen a sid with the
same problem somewhere on the internet.
I've had some problems with cupsaddsmb too, but I don't know if it's
because of the same problem.

There was a bug here I can ensure you.
But it's been a year, so I don't remember well and maybe it's been corrected in
the upstream?
I still have the exact same HW/SW that I had back then so I can check to see
what file permissions/user/groups I have but I won't do anything more cause
