Hi,
The link that Colin gave before details the versioning rule to apply to
fix a package in a released version. This apply for Security as well as
any other SRU.
To test this, you could use a chroot to install older versions of
Ubuntu. You can find help at that url:
Also, how would I go about testing this in non-Precise versions (I'm on
Precise)? Also, should I submit this to Debian?
