Filip Milivojevic, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't
been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from

With Maverick and kernel "2.6.35-24-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP", I have the same
issue on a studio 1737.
After resume when battery unplugged, the fan doesn't work and sensors report 0°c

fine on my studio 1537.

I have just tested the same machine with a karmic kernel, userspace
unchanged and this does not appear to occur. Marking a release

Ok further testing seems to indicate that remove battery/suspend/resume
will also trigger this. That is a resume with no battery present leads
to this issue, and reinserting it is enough to restore functionality
(removing it again does not re-break sensors). If those who are
affected could confir
@Filip, @Pfanne, could you confirm that reinserting and removing the
battery while the machine is awake restores your sensors too. Marking
this Low as there seems to be a pretty simple, safe work around.

I can confirm that this affects my Dell 1537 also. I would note that if
you suspend/remove battery/resume sensors (and presuably fan control)
are broken. If you then reinsert the battery live, the sensors are
restored.
