I have same problem – changing keyboard (USB instead of PS/2) does not
help (also tried modprobe usbhid and changing mouse settings to lefthand
– nothing helped).
Mouse: A4tech K5-52D OSCAR
I have two computers – on both there is 10.10. On laptop mouse works
perfectly. On desktop the left button
I have a Nvidia Chipset, so I don't think it depends on the sound card.
The ATI Device is my Grafic Card with HDMI Output.

I found out that it is due to the intel soundcard. My bug (663203) is the same.
As it has something to do with the soundcard, I opened a new bug report 673901.
