Please remove any model references in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, and update your alsa drivers as outlined here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules. Plesae report back as to whether you get sound. Whilst the model option you used may have worked, I don't believe it
