As far as I can tell the implementation was adjusted to deal with ZG
updates correctly quite some time ago. I cannot reproduce this issue in
13.10. Could you please check if this is still the case for you?

yes, it is. For example i use app called labyrinth (mind map). It never
appears in recently used apps. Same for xcaht. Even gnome-terminal not
always will appear in this list.

Right... We only update the models in the background when apps are
installed/uninstalled, not when Zeitgeist updates the set of popular
apps. This is a bug of course.
The trick is that we don't want to start updating the models immediately
when Zg tells us that stuff has changed, because then we'd
