Unity launcher and panel are not zoomable with Enhanced Zoom Desktop

I'm not sure if this can be considered the same bug, but I also have a
problem with zooming and the top panel.
In my case when I use the zoom (with either the Zoom Desktop or the
Enhanced Zoom Desktop plugins) and then zoom out to normal zoom my
top panel disappears (gets completely black) but
I see this with the ATI open source drivers
