I figured out why the guest session doesn't have icons. I noticed in the
Configuration Editor that I have
"desktop/gnome/interface/menu_items_have_icons" set to "true", but in
the guest session this is set to "false". Even when I set this to "true"
in the guest session, it still doesn't show any ic
