Hello,
After updating to Ubuntu 12.04, me-tv which had been kind of working
until now, started freezing after launch. Resize, record, full-screen or
any other command would not work, although the first channel continued
to play.
So I updated to 1.4.0.9 using ppa.

Sadly I don't have as many channel as you, so I can not reproduce this
behavior. I'll try to find a way.

Using 1.4.0 with Precise, I can reproduce the same issue.
But as far as I can say, me-tv doesn't freeze while importing the channels.
Having 500 channels defined in a channel.conf, it takes a very long time to
import, but the timestamp of the sqlite3 db is updating, its size is increasing

This bug will be fix in version 1.3.7. It is already fix in version

Deleting the database doesn't help, as described in the other bug

Back to my initial problem: What else can I try to stop Me TV freezing?

Now I've compiled Me TV 1.3.6 from source: It starts (the process me-tv

log file is empty.
When starting it once more a dialog pops up saying the database is to

Can you joint your channels.conf to this bug report ?
Can you start me-tv from command line with this command : me-tv -v
metv.log (without the double quote) and also joint the me-tv.log ?
Cheers,

Ok, It seems like me-tv have difficulties with some channels. Can you make
a copy of the channels.conf, remove the last 7 lines then try importing it
to me-tv ?

Me TV freezes while importing
That's strange: I've tried again to use Me TV's own scan routine and now
it found all channels available (with signal strength 100%). But Me TV
still freezes when I click OK to add the channels. Find attached the
new log file.
Thanks for your help :-)

To avoid confusion: The log file in my previous post is from my attempt to add
channels found by Me TV's own scan routine.
Find attached the log file from the attempt using the edited channels.conf
(deleted the last 7 lines).

Did you install from repository or you have compiled it ?
Can you see in System Monitor if me-tv use much CPU ?
How long did you wait before declaring it frozen ?
Note: Don't worry about signal strengh, it's just some info that sometime
is(n't) available. (it work even when at 0%)

Can you send me the log ? (from the command: me-tv -v me-tv.log)

I did install it from ubuntu's repository (me-tv_1.3.6-1_i386).
Me TV uses constantly 6,3 MB ram and 0% of the cpu when freezing. I'm
not familiar with the Waiting Channels listet in system monitor but
me-tv is in futex_wait_queue_me while freezing.
I waited about five minutes to declare it
