The soundcard problem persists on Feisty with 2.6.20-12.19.
The bcm43xx driver does not work with this card, the solution is to
blacklist it (in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist) and use ndiswrapper. bcm43xx
conflicts quite badly with touchpad.

This really should be 2 bug reports one for your sound issue another for
the network issue. Nonetheless, do you have the following package
installed bcm43xx-fwcutter?
