I'd also love to see this packaged. Network Manager has some issues when
it comes to Mobilcom Debitel surf sticks and it's also not capable of
showing signal strength...

Tou dong need Umtsmoon anymore in Ubuntu. Networkmanager 0.7 works
netter then UMTSMoon. Its in the 8.10 vertion

UMTS Support is in Networkmanager 7.0 it is supported in Other distros
like Opensuse 11 Fedora 9. When wil this things work in Ubuntu

Anyone still working on this? This is being discussed at
http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/10275/, too.
It would be nice if we got any answer. We could live with the
information that there will never be proper UMTS support in Ubuntu, but
waiting forever and getting no answer is crap.

But i think there are ok support for the cards. I have been using both a
Huawei E220 and a Dell Wireless 5520 (internal)
