I provided all information that was requested at the time. I received a big
shrug in response.
Under AMD 64-bit 10.04 the problem has been masked because now all non-Linux
partitions show up in Dolphin as drive icons using the partition label for a
name.

Well, I can tell you that in 10.04 KUbuntu there is no way in God's green
earth for MountManager to do this. See attached image.
See the column along the left hand side. See the bottom where you see icons
for drive_d and FreeDos. Those are the actual partition labels.
In 9.10 you did not

The mount points aren't even visible in 10.04 LTS. They appear as drive icons
using the volume/partition labels, you can't change anything.

In the previous release, in Dolphin, when you went to root you so actual mount
points in the window for DOS and DRIVE_D. The point labeled DOS was actually
the freeDOS partition on that drive. I was trying to change it to DRIVE_C so
it would match the other entry.
Under 10.04 you do not see

Jonathan,
I took the time today to install MountManager and try it. This product
has some serious problems.
1) Wouldn't let me key in a new mount point. I had to manually create
a /drive_c directory, then select that directory as a mount point.
2) Somehow it changed the settings on /drive_d
The MountManager application should be able to do what you want.
