Gah, Launchpad, please stop automatically confirming ancient bugs like this. This isn't an issue anymore, as the updated UI provides a way to add an exception. The actual unknown issuer error though it not a Firefox bug in itself. Please see

I found a workaround: go to https://alioth.debian.org/tracker/ (other pages, such as aliot project pages, won't do) and you'll see the usual firefox page offering you to add an exception for the certificate. Add the exception and other pages on alioth will work too. On the other hand this means
