I should probably mention in this bug too that I have gone back to
Debian on this laptop - the last straw, in fact, was that the wireless
card didn't work AT ALL in feisty (the madwifi in feisty was
incompatible with the 2.6.20 kernel). I miss working suspend-to-disk,
but I need reliable wireless
All duplicate PPD listing issues are solved in Feisty. Now it is taken
care that there are no two packages in the default installation which
provide a PPD for the same printer/driver/language combo. If you have
duplicate entries consider uninstalling hpijs-ppds, foomatic-db-
gutenprint, and/or foom
It looks like there was a regression somewhere. I am not sure if my
problem is exactly the same or not, though. I have submitted a bug on
it—bug 105249.

On a machine which has run various distributions (sarge, dapper), we had
no problems with network. Using feisty and network manager, a minute
after booting, the machine looses its ip number. This is before a gnome
session is even started. Running dhclient solves the problem.

I have just done a default LAMP install on ubuntu server - all fine.
On ubuntu i done a manual install of apache2 (and assoc friends), the
command: 'apache2-ssl-certificate' returns; 'bash: apache2-ssl-

Thanks for the prompt reply. I had already tried this and even attempted
to enter the incorrect values to force the display to have square
pixels. Unfortuantely, either the i810 driver or Xorg 7.2 (I'm using
fiesty) overrides whatever I enter for the DIsplaySize. The good news is

I am having a bit of trouble reproducing this bug. Upon connecting to a
WPA PERSONAL network and entering a bogue password mine just refuses to
connect and eventually times out without saving a password to the
keyring. Upon trying to reconnect I am again prompted for a

python-support might lack a feature in edgy; otherwise, I don't see where the
